Job Overview
TCS is seeking experienced Java Microservices Developers to join their team in Chennai. Candidates must have robust experience in Java-based backend development, microservices architecture, and creating cloud-ready enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable microservices using Java technologies.
- Create RESTful APIs and backend services with Spring Boot framework.
- Apply best practices and patterns in microservices architecture.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and developers to produce quality deliverables.
- Engage in requirement analysis, design and code reviews, testing, and debugging.
- Resolve live production issues and enhance application performance.
- Integrate services with databases, messaging platforms, and third-party tools.
- Support continuous delivery pipelines and DevOps processes.
Required Skills
- Java versions 8, 11, or 17
- Spring Boot framework
- Microservices architecture knowledge
- RESTful API development
- Hibernate and JPA for persistence
- SQL and database management
- Build tools like Maven or Gradle
- Version control using Git
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Kafka messaging system
- Container technologies: Docker and Kubernetes
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Azure DevOps
- Agile and Scrum software development methodologies
Eligibility Criteria
- 7 to 12 years of relevant Information Technology experience
- Proven expertise in Java and microservices development
- Experience working with enterprise-scale distributed systems
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem resolution skills
