Role Overview
The Senior Store Manager acts as the primary leader for the store, entrusted with boosting sales, maintaining operational excellence, enhancing customer satisfaction, and cultivating a high-achieving team. This position requires a blend of strategic insight and practical execution to establish the store as a standard-bearer for performance, customer delight, and brand integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers upon entry and train staff to do likewise, ensuring a warm, customer-focused environment.
- Prioritize outstanding customer service and mentor team members to uphold high customer satisfaction levels.
- Address and resolve customer queries and complaints efficiently at the store level to maintain consistent service quality.
- Supervise eye check-ups to ensure they comply with standard operating procedures and meet quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to guarantee seamless product delivery and exceptional customer experiences.
- Steer store sales to achieve set targets and foster a culture of high sales performance and leadership.
- Deliver hands-on training and development to associates using organizational training resources.
- Provide timely, constructive feedback to team members to encourage growth and performance improvement.
- Identify staff training requirements and liaise with the academy team to implement suitable development plans.
- Analyze attrition causes and implement measures to enhance team retention.
- Manage shift scheduling to align with business demands and operational needs.
- Oversee cash reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Maintain merchandise availability and oversee stock through regular inventory audits.
- Ensure store staff understand POS systems for effective transaction management.
- Conduct quality assessments on new inventory items before stocking.
- Verify adherence to retail SOPs and ensure store standards are consistently met, including cleanliness and equipment maintenance.
- Secure Lenskart assets, minimizing stock loss and damage.
Candidate Profile
- Graduate degree mandatory; MBA or specialization in retail management is advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in retail or service sectors with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Proven ability to achieve strong business results and exceptional customer service outcomes.
