Job description
Overview
We are looking for a skilled Rolling Stock Overhaul Supervisor to oversee the comprehensive maintenance and overhaul of rolling stock parts such as bogies, couplers, gangways, doors, HVAC systems, and other related components. The role demands efficient execution of daily production plans while strictly adhering to safety protocols, maintenance standards, and railway operational guidelines. Leading the maintenance team, this position emphasizes driving productivity, quality enhancement, continuous improvement, and fostering a high-performance work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead the overhaul and maintenance operations for rolling stock components.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with approved procedures, railway standards, and HSE regulations.
- Deliver daily production plans efficiently, maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives and uphold maintenance best practices.
- Develop and mentor the maintenance team to enhance performance and skills.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Railway Engineering, or related technical fields.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in rolling stock maintenance, overhaul, or in relevant railway, metro, or light rail sectors.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
- Strong technical expertise in rolling stock overhaul methodologies and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with CMMS, maintenance management tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficient planning, scheduling, and organizational capabilities.
- Sound knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) practices.
- Excellent communication skills for preparing technical reports and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering ONC, Diploma, or related technical certification.
- Understanding of railway maintenance standards and OEM maintenance protocols.
- Basic knowledge of Continuous Improvement techniques, including Lean and 5S methods.
- Experience managing maintenance performance based on KPIs and production targets.
