Job description

About Hai Robotics

Hai Robotics is transforming warehouse automation by delivering intelligent robotic systems that combine scalable standard solutions with tailored customer-specific customizations. Our mission centers on enhancing fulfillment operations through advanced technology and a steadfast commitment to customer satisfaction. As we grow internationally, we seek a visionary leader to oversee project implementations in the Americas region.

Role Summary

Under the guidance of the Americas CEO, the Project Manager (PM) holds a pivotal role in driving Hai Robotics’ vision to revolutionize robotics in the region by prioritizing customer-driven outcomes over mere robotic functions. PMs lead the delivery of Hai Robotics’ solutions to clients, championing delivery excellence and embodying customer obsession. The effectiveness of the PM is gauged through site stabilization speed and Customer Success Index (CSI) metrics.

This role demands a deep understanding of agile methodologies along with experience in Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV), Automated Case Retrieval (ACR), and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMR). The PM operates in a fast-paced, dynamic setting that blends the intensity of a start-up with the innovation of a robotics leader, emphasizing collaboration and proactive problem-solving across customer and vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure team safety by rigorously enforcing Hai Robotics’ safety protocols on-site.
  • Own project delivery from initiation to completion, focusing on efficiency (site stabilization and customer self-sufficiency) and quality (Customer Success Index reflecting achievement of client KPIs).
  • Lead warehouse automation projects through all phases—requirements definition, planning, budget and schedule management, and risk mitigation.
  • Coordinate the integration of hardware, software, and process components, working cross-functionally to optimize system deployment.
  • Manage internal and external teams spanning sales, solutions, logistics, and software to maintain project scope, schedule, and budget adherence.
  • Collaborate with HQ teams in the US and China as well as Customer Success, Product, and Engineering divisions to address escalations and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Facilitate project change requests, communicate impacts, and obtain customer approvals for deliverables.
  • Maintain and nurture relationships with clients and stakeholders, providing timely updates and managing satisfaction through project transitions.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify strengths and areas for improvement, reporting project health and risks to executive leadership.
  • Oversee smooth transition from project implementation to customer support phases.
  • Drive linkage between customer success and financial outcomes, ensuring projects meet acceptance criteria to enable revenue collection.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing technical projects.
  • 1 to 2 years’ exposure to warehouse operations, logistics functions, or third-party logistics (3PL) industry.
  • Demonstrated project management expertise with a solid technical foundation in robotics and supply chain domains.
  • Ability to lead diverse project teams successfully to completion and manage multiple simultaneous initiatives.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, adept at engaging clients and internal teams.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D layouts is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50%, primarily domestic with some international trips) and provide on-call support including after-hours availability for emergencies.
  • Strong organizational capability with keen attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Experience managing project budgets and proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to provide proof of eligibility in compliance with federal law.

Work Environment and Conditions

  • Significant domestic travel required, with some international trips possible.
  • On-call availability for emergency support beyond normal working hours.
