Overview
We seek a Logistics Operations Specialist responsible for handling advanced logistics duties encompassing warehouse operations, inventory management, and support for service orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex shipment processes, addressing discrepancies to ensure on-time completion.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on logistics functions and SAP usage.
- Advise and execute process enhancements to boost operational efficiency.
- Engage in cross-departmental meetings to optimize material workflows and resolve problems.
- Examine and confirm customer repair requests and associated work scopes.
- Create and upkeep precise work orders in SAP, including warranty information and financial data.
- Generate subcontractor purchase orders for external repair activities.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders for timely repair deliveries and act as the primary contact for financial approvals and shipping readiness.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum two years experience with SAP software.
- At least three years in inventory control or receiving/shipping roles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel for analyzing data and preparing reports.
- Ability to collaborate and complete assignments independently.
- Flexibility to perform tasks throughout various areas of Materials Management as needed.
Position Details
- Schedule includes rotational shifts covering 1st (7am-5pm), 2nd (2pm-12am), and 3rd (7pm-4am) shifts with potential weekend and holiday work, plus overtime availability.
- Hourly pay rate is $22.
- Work environment includes general office and warehouse settings.
- Physical demands involve moderate activity such as lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds regularly, along with walking, standing, and operating manual or powered equipment.
- Position may require approximately 5% domestic travel.
