Role Overview
Join the dynamic team at our busy Splash Waterworld, home to thrilling flumes, fast-paced slides, various swimming areas, and lively guest activities. As a Lifeguard, you'll be stationed amidst the excitement, ensuring safety and enjoyable experiences for all visitors. This position extends beyond passive supervision — whether monitoring slides, watching over the wave pool, or facilitating poolside events, you'll play a vital role in crafting memorable guest interactions and fostering strong rapport with both colleagues and guests.
Work Details
- Full-time commitment of 35 hours per week spread over 5 days out of 7
- Shifts include evenings and weekends to cover peak times
- Option for live-in accommodation is available for those relocating to Southampton
Candidate Profile
Ideal applicants demonstrate high energy, alertness, responsibility, and enjoy engaging with others. Remaining calm under pressure, communicating effectively, and collaborating as part of a team are essential traits. Given the physically active and fast-paced nature of the job, readiness to be alert and hands-on is crucial. Specific requirements include being a proficient swimmer, at least 18 years old, possessing keen situational awareness and attention to detail, and confidence in responding to emergency situations.
Applicants lacking the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) are encouraged to apply, as training support will be provided prior to employment commencement. While experience in leisure, hospitality, or waterpark settings is advantageous, we prioritize individuals with the right enthusiasm, positive personality, and commitment to exceptional guest experiences.
