Role Overview
The primary responsibility involves executing the integration and comprehensive testing of software releases across systems and subsystems. This includes managing integration processes both at factory locations and customer sites, as well as establishing and instructing on environment setups to enable integration, testing, and validation activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Successfully conduct integration and testing of complex software releases for various systems and subsystems.
- Perform integration activities at factory facilities and at customer sites.
- Manage or contribute to environment setups to support integration, testing, and acceptance procedures.
- Provide guidance on environment configuration to assist validation teams.
- Design and participate in testing efforts across multiple platforms including regression, interfacing, simulation scenarios, and utilizing test tools.
- Analyze technical and functional system or subsystem issues to promptly identify, fully document, and log them as per internal protocols.
- Develop automation scripts to streamline system administration tasks.
Required Expertise and Skills
- A minimum of 7 years experience in roles integrating complex, real-time, software-centric systems.
- Specialized experience in ATM or Command and Control (C2) domains is essential.
- Strong understanding and troubleshooting capability in virtualisation platforms and operating systems (clients and servers) with at least 3 years experience.
- Proficiency with Linux/Unix operating systems including SNMP services and RSYSLOG, as well as Windows operating systems.
- Experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
- Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, and XML with at least 3 years of practical application.
- Familiarity with DevOps and automation tools including Ansible and Jenkins.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools including GIT (specifically Bitbucket) and JIRA.
- Cybersecurity understanding covering LDAP, Active Directory, and PKI.
- Understanding of network protocols and technologies such as SNMP, UDP, TCP, and IP.
- Usage of debugging tools like Wireshark for network analysis.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring solutions.
- Aptitude for rapid and efficient troubleshooting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment, often working with remote colleagues.
