Description de l'emploi
About the Company
ALTEN Global Technologies Private Limited is part of the ALTEN Group, with work spanning aerospace, embedded systems, automotive, and enterprise engineering services. The business traces its origins to Accord Group, founded in 1991 by five technologists with extensive experience in avionics and real-time embedded systems. In 2016, Accord Group was split into Accord Software and Systems Private Limited (ASSPL) and Accord Global Technology Solutions Private Limited (AGTSPL). AGTSPL was later acquired by ALTEN and renamed ALTEN Global Technologies Private Limited (ALTEN GT). The organisation has built a strong track record in customer satisfaction, innovation, sales, profitability, competence building, quality processes, project management, and customer focus.
Role Overview
This role is for an Embedded SW Developer who will contribute to the analysis, design, and development of software for real-time applications on a Linux-like platform using C and/or C++. The position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with project requirements, timelines, and budget limits.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop software for real-time systems on Linux-like environments using C and/or C++.
- Handle design, coding, testing, debugging, configuration, and documentation work in line with internal policies and procedures.
- Work with the team to build solutions that satisfy project requirements within schedule and budget constraints.
- Contribute to system analysis and architecture design, including defining interfaces between system components and software layers.
- Support fault isolation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis during integration and validation testing.
- Review reported issues, assess their impact, identify temporary workarounds, and suggest practical fixes.
- Participate in requirements, design, and code review activities.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Candidates should hold a BS degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering. A master’s degree in a similar discipline is an added advantage. The role requires 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience.
Technical and Professional Requirements
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and TCP/IP networking.
- Hands-on experience with software configuration management, change management, defect tracking, builds, and release workflows.
- Experience with development processes that include requirements traceability using tools such as ReqPro or DOORS.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain ideas accurately and succinctly.
- Self-motivated, outcome-focused, quality-driven, and highly attentive to detail.
Eligibility
Any graduate can apply, although the role is best suited to candidates with the specified engineering or computer science background and the required experience.
