About the Role
We are recruiting a skilled Human Resources Generalist eager to engage in a versatile role that centers on building strong relationships and serving as a dependable resource for both employees and leadership. This part-time opportunity, based in the Omaha Metropolitan Area, offers approximately 20 hours per week with onsite responsibilities and occasional travel between locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding and development to offboarding processes.
- Act as a knowledgeable point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.
- Collaborate with leadership to address employee relations matters with professionalism and fairness.
- Manage employee benefits including enrollments, updates, and communication efforts.
- Assist recruiting efforts by coordinating candidates, scheduling interviews, and facilitating onboarding activities.
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation ensuring compliance with employment legislation.
- Support performance management activities, including coaching and HR initiatives.
- Promote employee engagement and cultivate a positive and professional culture across multiple office settings.
- Perform in-person visits approximately once per month to different company locations to provide direct HR support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
- A minimum of three years’ experience as a Human Resources Generalist.
- Proven background in employee relations and benefits administration.
- Familiarity with employment laws and established HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, and the ability to foster relationships.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Preferred Credentials
- Certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR are advantageous.
- Experience with supporting teams across multiple office locations or dispersed geographical areas.
- Previous work in expanding organizations is a plus.
Work Environment and Additional Details
- This is a part-time role averaging around 20 hours a week.
- Hybrid work model with required regular in-office presence.
- Periodic travel to various company offices approximately once monthly.
