About the Role
The Sisters of St. Mary of Oregon Ministries Corporation is seeking a Human Resources Administrative Assistant to join their team. This role provides essential support in benefits management, compliance, data handling, and recruitment processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding customer service to employees, applicants, and visitors
- Support daily HR administrative tasks including upkeep of employee records and documents
- Assist with the onboarding process for new employees
- Address employee inquiries and guide them to appropriate HR personnel
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling employee information
- Ensure adherence to company policies and employment laws
- Contribute to recruitment, benefits administration, and various HR projects as required
- Manage HR record-keeping, filing, and data entry within the HRIS system
- Perform password resets and resolve basic employee account issues
- Provide reception coverage by greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and directing inquiries
- Review and submit invoices for payment processing
- Carry out other assigned duties as needed
Qualifications and Skills

- Working knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures

Education and Experience
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- At least one year of experience in administrative, HR, or office support roles
Physical Requirements
- Extended periods seated at a desk working on a computer
- Frequent use of computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone
- Effective communication in person, over the phone, and by email
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, and moving around the office and campus
- Ability to read printed materials and screens
- Manual dexterity for operating office equipment
- Capability to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Capacity to concentrate for prolonged durations and handle detailed tasks
