Job description

Overview

The Human Resource Manager will oversee comprehensive HR and industrial relations functions across multiple locations, including Agra, Noida, Etah, and Mathura branches. The role involves managing manpower planning, statutory and labor law compliance, employee relations, and fostering a disciplined and productive shop-floor environment within the food industry sector.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage manpower needs while leading recruitment of permanent and contract staff.
  • Collaborate with department heads and contractors for workforce deployment, managing onboarding, confirmations, and separations.
  • Ensure compliance with the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act and maintain all relevant records via HRIS.
  • Oversee attendance, leave, shifts, overtime, and maintain wage input accuracy.
  • Address grievances, disciplinary issues, and employee separations effectively.
  • Coordinate performance management, appraisals, payroll validation, and timely salary disbursements including statutory dues.
  • Support compensation planning, increment processes, and incentive schemes.
  • Identify training needs; conduct induction and mandatory trainings focused on safety, hygiene, GMP, POSH, and food safety culture.
  • Ensure adherence to labor laws such as Factories Act, PF, ESI, Gratuity, and Bonus; maintain statutory records and licenses.
  • Engage with labor authorities and auditors, facilitating industrial harmony including negotiations and settlements.

Key Competencies

  • Strong grasp of Indian labor laws and industrial relations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, negotiate, and resolve conflicts.
  • Leadership with direct plant-level HR operational experience.
  • Strategic mindset combined with practical operational execution.

Qualifications and Experience

  • MBA or PGDM specializing in Human Resources.
  • Certification or diploma in labor laws or industrial relations is preferred.
  • Minimum 4 to 8 years’ experience in HR and Industrial Relations within a limited company, preferably in food, FMCG, sweets or bakery manufacturing sectors.

Performance Indicators

  • Alignment of manpower availability with production requirements.
  • Effective management of recruitment timelines, retention, and absenteeism.
  • Compliance with all statutory regulations without penalties.
  • Timely resolution of grievances maintaining good industrial relations.

Additional Details

The role reports directly to the Director and requires presence onsite across stated locations. Immediate joining is preferred.
