Role Overview

The ELV Draftsman position entails creating detailed technical drawings and layouts for ELV systems such as CCTV, access control, fire alarms, structured cabling, and other low-voltage installations across commercial and residential developments. The role requires reviewing specifications, working closely with engineers and project managers, and updating drawings to reflect any modifications from site inspections. Maintaining compliance with codes and standards is essential. This role demands collaboration with construction and installation teams to ensure timely and accurate project documentation. It is a full-time position requiring on-site presence in Qatar, including visits to project locations as needed.

Qualifications and Skills

Proficiency in creating and revising ELV system drawings and layouts using CAD or equivalent drafting software with sharp technical accuracy.
In-depth knowledge of ELV components including CCTV, access control, public address systems, data networking, fire alarms, and associated low-voltage infrastructure.
Familiarity with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations pertinent to ELV system design and installation.
Effective communication and coordination abilities to liaise with engineers, project supervisors, and onsite teams.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to juggle multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
A diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical discipline; certifications in ELV or CAD are advantageous.
Prior experience as an ELV draftsman or in comparable drafting roles within construction, telecommunications, or building services sectors.
Willingness and ability to work on-site in Qatar and accommodate multicultural, project-focused work environments. Proficiency in English is mandatory; additional languages are beneficial.
