Role Summary
We are seeking a seasoned MEP Project Engineer with expertise in fire fighting systems to lead projects from conception through commissioning. The candidate will oversee planning, execution, and coordination aspects while ensuring projects adhere to timeline, budget, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise the execution of MEP and Fire Fighting projects at site locations.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee installation, commissioning, and testing processes.
- Thoroughly review project drawings, bills of quantities, technical specifications, and contractual documents.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project progress.
- Create and monitor project schedules to guarantee on-time delivery.
- Ensure adherence to National Building Code (NBC), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Indian Standards (IS), and other relevant regulations.
- Supervise material planning, procurement activities, and inventory management.
- Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality, safety, and legal compliance.
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports detailing project status.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues arising during project phases.
- Assist in project handover documentation and obtain client approvals.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech).
- At least 6 years of practical experience in executing MEP and Fire Fighting projects.
- Additional certifications related to Fire Fighting, MEP, or Project Management are considered an advantage.
Required Skills
- In-depth knowledge of Fire Fighting Systems including hydrants, sprinklers, fire alarms, pumps, and general MEP services.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite.
- Skilled in preparing bills of quantities, cost estimations, and comprehensive project documentation.
- Adept at reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Strong coordination and team leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills along with client management experience.
- Familiarity with safety and quality compliance standards.
