Overview
We are inviting applications for the position of DevOps Engineer focused on enhancing productivity, reliability, scalability, quality, and security of platform operations. This role concentrates on enabling engineering teams to efficiently handle infrastructure provisioning, application build, testing, bundling, and deployment through automation and self-service models for both development and production environments. Members of this team aim to minimize time to market and revenue, accelerate feedback cycles, and educate teams on quality and deployment readiness.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to teams by delivering self-service tools that facilitate the provisioning, building, testing, and deploying of applications.
- Elevate system reliability, security, and scalability through automation and leveraging contemporary DevOps methodologies.
- Maintain and continuously enhance CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools such as Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
- Manage and improve cloud infrastructure, particularly on AWS, incorporating networking, system administration, and security aspects.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code and automate environment setups.
- Promote operational excellence via monitoring systems, logging, and refining processes.
Qualifications
- Possess a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
- Have over 5 years of experience in software or scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Ruby.
- Strong background in system administration, covering both Linux and Windows environments.
- Expertise in infrastructure, networking, or security domains.
- Solid understanding and hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
- Familiarity with automation and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with engineering teams to streamline delivery workflows.
Desirable Skills
- Practical experience using Ansible for configuration management.
- Competency in Terraform for managing infrastructure as code.
- Experience constructing automated infrastructure and deployment workflows.
- Knowledge of code deployment approaches, tagging conventions, and release management.
- Understanding of networking basics including DNS, VPNs, load balancing, and firewall configurations.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins and GitLab.
