About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Postperson with driving responsibilities to join our team at the Blandford Forum Delivery Office (DT11 7DN) on a permanent contract. The position involves working 37 hours per week over five days within a seven-day week, with shifts scheduled between 07:00 and 17:30. These shifts consist of either 07:00 to 15:00 for letter deliveries or 10:00 to 17:30 for parcel deliveries. Due to operational needs, working one in every three Sundays is required, with hours from 08:30 to 16:00.
Job Responsibilities and Expectations
- Provide reliable delivery service rain or shine, contributing to billions of deliveries annually.
- Serve as a familiar and trusted member of the local community through direct customer interaction.
- Maintain punctuality and high standards of customer service throughout the daily routes.
- Cover letter and parcel deliveries while working primarily outdoors and walking for extended periods.
- Operate a vehicle safely under the conditions of a full UK manual driving licence with up to six penalty points.

Additional Information
Employment contracts classify roles at or above 35 hours per week as full-time; if below 37 hours, roles are designated part-time.
