Assistant Manager - Supply Chain Management

Role Summary

This role focuses on participating across various phases of supply chain activities including procurement, vendor management, negotiation, sourcing initiatives, and contract administration. The objective is to assure uninterrupted service availability while driving cost efficiency, quality control, and timely order fulfillment. The position is operational and directly contributes to meeting project goals aligning with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee operations and maintenance projects involving Points of Presence (POP) sites, metropolitan area networks (MAN), national long distance (NLD) networks, and fiber infrastructure.
• Manage annual maintenance contract (AMC) renewals for infrastructure assets installed at POP sites.
• Coordinate end-of-life replacement cycles for critical infrastructure assets such as battery banks, switched-mode power supplies (SMPS), and cooling equipment.
• Drive operational excellence activities including the implementation of touchless purchase orders, and preparation of catalogues and operational level agreements (OLAs).
• Prepare and present monthly dashboards and reporting documentation.
• Support front-end customer-led projects including initiatives like Amazon Kuiper and various international projects.
• Analyze procurement volumes by vendor and product category to determine areas for rate or frame contract finalization.
• Engage with internal teams to gather detailed requirements for new projects and ongoing operations.
• Collaborate with demand and delivery managers to ensure clarity on specifications and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Manage sourcing, procurement negotiations, order processing, and maintain continuous supply of necessary services.
• Coordinate with vendors and planning teams to expedite delivery schedules and resolve logistics challenges.
• Monitor the efficiency of logistics operations and maintain supply chain inventories and records.
• Identify bottlenecks and issues by analyzing delivery process data.
• Ensure vendor adherence to supply management policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or equivalent field.
• 3 to 6 years of professional experience in supply chain management or indirect sourcing roles.

Skills and Knowledge

• Proficiency with SAP, Ariba procurement platforms, and Qliksense analytics.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation capabilities for fostering and maintaining positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, logistics partners, and customers.
• Expertise in service procurement processes prior to vendor onboarding.
• Well-versed in contract management including risk mitigation strategies.
