Role Overview
This position supports procurement and sourcing operations by ensuring that activities are planned and executed effectively to meet operational needs, achieve cost-efficiency, promote transparency, and uphold service quality while adhering to relevant policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret procurement needs and develop sourcing plans aligned with operational goals.
- Assist in crafting, monitoring, and updating annual and short-term procurement plans.
- Manage procurement processes, ensuring all documentation and approvals are thorough and compliant.
- Draft requests for quotations, proposals, tender documents, and scopes of work alongside relevant stakeholders.
- Identify and evaluate suppliers through market research to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and supply reliability.
- Analyze technical and commercial bids, preparing unbiased comparisons and recommendations.
- Engage in negotiations to secure favorable terms, value, and risk management.
- Oversee purchase orders, contracts, delivery schedules, and ensure suppliers meet quality and timeline standards.
- Assess supplier performance, maintain records, and foster lasting professional relationships.
- Generate procurement reports, KPIs, and analyze expenditure to spot efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
- Enhance procurement workflows, utilize digital tools, and implement modern procurement methodologies.
- Collaborate with internal and external parties to maintain compliance and confidentiality.

- Supplier performance evaluation, management, and spend analytics.
- Understanding governance, compliance, and procurement risk management.
- Proficiency with e-procurement solutions and Microsoft Office, notably Excel.
Educational and Professional Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related disciplines.
- Professional certifications like CIPS, CPSM, or CSCP are advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum of four years in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or contract management roles.
- Preferred experience within large organizations or governmental settings.
