Senior Engineer - Cable Maintenance

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Engineer specialized in Cable Maintenance to join our team in Dubai. This role requires a seasoned professional with over six years of experience focused on high-voltage underground cable systems. The ideal candidate will manage installation, testing, jointing, termination, and upkeep of 400/132kV underground cable infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform cable fault identification and resolution along with corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
• Investigate and analyze technical issues affecting cable performance, implementing effective preventive strategies.
• Manage and oversee routine and emergency maintenance schedules for transmission cables to ensure operational reliability.

Qualifications and Expertise

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering along with seven years of practical engineering experience in 400/132kV underground cable systems installation and maintenance.
• Competence in cable fault location techniques, preventive maintenance measures, and technical problem analysis.
• Strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Management Systems in accordance with safety standards.
• Computer literacy with a preference for proficiency in SAP software applications.
