<p><strong>Role OVO-View</strong></p>
<p><strong>Location:</strong> Hybrid – Hub-based (Bristol, Glasgow, or London) + Work from Home</p>
<p><strong>Contract & Salary:</strong> 12-Month FTC | £45,000 – £51,665 + Up to 15% Discretionary Bonus + 9% Flex Pay</p>

<p>As a <strong>Senior Compliance Analyst</strong> in our <strong>Policy & Regulation</strong> team, you'll be instrumental in steering our strategic compliance initiatives and maintaining regulatory excellence. By translating complex energy regulations into practical operational advice, you will help bake risk mitigation directly into our long-term business decisions as we drive toward net zero.</p>

<h3><strong>What you’ll be doing:</strong></h3>
<p>Reporting directly to the <strong>Senior Compliance Manager</strong>, you'll work independently to keep our regulatory compliance activities running seamlessly:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Strategic Regulatory Advice:</strong> Dissect complex regulations and translate them into clear guidance for commercial and operational leaders.</li>
<li><strong>Evidence-Backed Risk Assessments:</strong> Conduct deep-dive research across OVO and the external landscape to deliver well-evidenced risk assessments.</li>
<li><strong>Clear & Influential Communication:</strong> Draft polished briefings, advice, and reports ready for senior leadership and regulatory audiences like Ofgem with minimal rework.</li>
<li><strong>Regulatory Preparedness:</strong> Lead the groundwork and evidence-gathering for regulatory submissions and major compliance projects.</li>
<li><strong>Compliance Culture Advocacy:</strong> Champion regulatory integrity and the Standards of Conduct across OVO, helping teams flag risks early.</li>

<p><strong>The Essentials:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Energy Regulation Expertise:</strong> Direct experience reading and translating complex energy regulations into clear guidance for non-specialist operational teams.</li>
<li><strong>Regulatory Engagement:</strong> Confidence engaging with external stakeholders, including energy regulator Ofgem.</li>
<li><strong>Analytical Precision & Curiosity:</strong> A keen eye for detail, pride in accuracy, and a natural curiosity to ask better questions and spot risks early.</li>
<li><strong>Autonomy & Organisation:</strong> Ability to manage your own time, prioritise multiple workstreams, and meet deadlines without needing to be prompted.</li>
<li><strong>Collaborative Communication:</strong> Strong written and verbal skills, with a track record of building trusted working relationships across a business.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Nice to have (but not essential):</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Prior experience using workflow tools like <strong>Jira</strong>.</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>Where & how you’ll work:</strong></h3>
<p>We believe in flexibility that works. You’ll be assigned to your closest hub office (<strong>Bristol, Glasgow, or London</strong>). We expect hub-based team members in the office at least once a week for collaborative days and in-person OVO Connection events, combined with flexible work-from-home options.</p>
