Position Overview
We are looking to welcome a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Technician dedicated to upholding safety standards, fostering a culture of safety and 5S practices, and supporting the HSE manager in implementing safety initiatives. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations within the manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled safety inspections alongside HSE representatives to identify hazards and assure compliance with safety regulations.
- Deliver training sessions on first aid, CPR, OSHA standards, and occupational health to employees.
- Assist the HSE manager in investigating workplace incidents, identifying root causes, and drafting comprehensive reports with corrective measures.
- Work collaboratively with management to encourage proactive safety measures and facilitate open communication regarding safety issues.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Prior experience in Environmental Health and Safety within the manufacturing sector is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of OSHA, EPA, and occupational health standards.
- Competency in developing and conducting EHS training programs.
- Effective report writing skills capable of clearly conveying complex information.
- Certified in First Aid and CPR.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis methods and 5S methodologies is a plus.
