About the Role
The Enterprise Procurement team assists ACC in making well-founded commercial decisions when acquiring goods and services. This role involves collaborating with business units throughout the procurement and contract lifecycle, ensuring risk management, compliance with policies, and governmental requirements.
As a Procurement Assurance Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining smooth procurement operations by organizing information, tracking reports and deliverables, and ensuring key obligations are met timely.
Your duties will be varied and practical, focusing heavily on coordination, organization, and follow-through.
- Maintain and enhance templates, trackers, and tools, including SharePoint and internal systems.
- Coordinate both regular and ad-hoc reporting, monitor inputs, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure data correctness and timely delivery.
- Support assurance, risk assessment, and audit initiatives, including compliance monitoring and random checks.
- Manage coordination of responses to Official Information Act requests, Parliamentary questions, and Select Committee inquiries.
- Facilitate team engagement initiatives such as surveys, workshops, and summarizing feedback.
Remuneration & Benefits
This full-time permanent position is located in Wellington. Salary ranges between NZD 67,442 and NZD 82,430 depending on experience. ACC provides a comprehensive benefits package, including a 9% employer superannuation contribution with no mandatory employee contribution, and optional life and income protection insurance plans.
Candidate Profile
- Proven background in assurance, monitoring, compliance, or reporting functions.
- Experience within commercial, corporate, procurement, or governance contexts.
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
- Analytical thinker with problem-solving aptitude and continuous improvement focus.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and coordinate multiple competing tasks effectively.
- Excellent written communication skills, particularly in report preparation and audit documentation.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, collaborative mindset, and responsibility-oriented approach.
