Job description
Role Overview
This position is not a typical operations internship. Instead of merely managing processes, your primary mission will be to automate and optimize them. Reporting directly to a company founder, you will be entrusted with substantial responsibilities from the outset, avoiding routine or trivial tasks. If there’s a broken process, you'll repair it; if it’s manual, you will automate it.
Company and Opportunity
Join Clera, an innovative pre-seed healthtech startup based in Berlin focused on personalized preventive health services including biomarker testing, clinician-reviewed insights, and concierge-level member support throughout Europe. This role begins as a 3 to 6-month paid internship with a well-defined pathway to transition into a full-time Operations position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire customer journey from onboarding and blood sample scheduling to delivering results and client retention.
- Oversee partnerships involving various European stakeholders such as laboratories, phlebotomy clinics, and supplement manufacturers.
- Create and sustain internal operational tools and automation pipelines using platforms like n8n, Make, Zapier, Notion, Linear, and Airtable.
- Develop Python scripts to reduce repetitive manual tasks.
- Formulate scalable operational playbooks designed to expand customer capacity up to tenfold without proportionally increasing headcount.
- Continuously identify inefficiencies in processes and implement effective solutions swiftly and independently.
Candidate Requirements
- Fluency in German at a native level is essential for daily communication with clinics, partners, and customers.
- Proficiency in English both written and spoken.
- Authorization to work in Germany without the need for visa sponsorship.
- Availability to work physically onsite in Berlin from Monday to Friday; remote work is not permitted.
- Between 0–2 years experience in operations, logistics, or analogous fields.
- Currently enrolled or recently graduated from rigorous academic programs such as engineering, business, life sciences, or computer science.
- Practical experience using workflow automation tools including n8n, Zapier, and Make, along with Python coding skills.
- Competence in creating internal tools with Notion, Linear, and Airtable.
- Experience managing complex partnerships across multiple European markets.
- Proven ability to take full ownership of customer experiences.
- A proactive, results-driven mindset comfortable with ambiguity and rapid execution.
- Passion for preventive health and longevity initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: €30,000 to €36,000 per year during the internship period.
- Internship lasts between three to six months, with a structured opportunity to move into a full-time role.
- Gain early access to strategic decision-making by working closely with the founding team and exercising significant ownership.
Additional Details
- Position is fully onsite in Berlin, Germany and requires Monday through Friday availability.
- No remote working options or visa sponsorship is offered.
