Job description
About the Role
We are a Series A/B-backed AI procurement intelligence startup redefining agent-based workflows in the industrial sector. We're seeking a Junior Product Designer to help envision new UX paradigms focused on how procurement professionals oversee AI agents, build trust between humans and automation, and transform complex industrial operations from traditional dashboards into intelligent agent-driven experiences. You will be part of a small interdisciplinary team delivering weekly iterations to paying B2B customers in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive product flows, user interfaces, and interactive prototypes that go live with customers within weeks.
- Design the interaction models by which AI agents report tasks, human users evaluate these outputs, and mutual trust is nurtured.
- Rapidly prototype using Figma along with coding and AI-based tools to communicate design concepts effectively.
- Collaborate intensively with product managers, engineers, and subject matter experts to ensure smooth handoffs and integrated development.
- Review pull requests adding finishing touches on interactions and visual details to uphold high product quality.
- Elevate design and interaction standards across all product elements and contribute to expanding the design system.
- Take ownership of features throughout the entire lifecycle, from initial discovery to launch, rather than just individual screens.
- Iterate designs based on direct customer feedback and real-world usage analytics.
Requirements
- 0–2 years in product design, including strong internships, especially with experience shipping work in B2B, complex workflow, or data-centric applications.
- Proven track record of independently driving feature design to delivery with rapid turnaround to paying customers.
- Excellent visual and interaction design sensibilities, with a strong attention to maintaining consistent design systems.
- Practical knowledge of design-to-code workflows and a dedication to fostering cross-functional team alignment.
- Active daily utilization of AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, v0, Figma AI features) to enhance ideation and prototyping processes.
- A systems thinking mindset appreciating how multiple features interrelate rather than focusing solely on isolated screens.
- Ability to operate well amid uncertainty and a preference for shipping functional designs over excessive refinement.
- Must be willing and able to work onsite in Munich; visa sponsorship is not provided.
Preferred Skills
- Experience prototyping with coding languages or frameworks such as HTML, CSS, and React.
- Background designing for complex domains used by non-technical audiences.
- Strong views on the role AI should play in products beyond basic chat interactions.
- Familiarity with enterprise software, procurement processes, supply chain management, or industrial sector workflows.
Location and Equal Opportunity
This position requires work onsite in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, and does not provide visa sponsorship. We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, or gender identity.
