Key Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance and repair of kitchen and laundry equipment, chillers, AC units, chilled water systems, pumps, and boilers, including routine testing and upkeep.
• Handle refrigeration systems such as chillers, walk-in coolers, freezers, and ovens ensuring functional condition.
• Maintain strict compliance with HACCP standards and health & safety legislation, keeping detailed records.
• Be available on call for emergencies related to equipment or plant issues and conduct preventive maintenance checks.
• Oversee all air-conditioning and refrigeration system servicing and management activities.
• Participate actively in the hotel’s energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
• Complete all on-the-job training following departmental protocols and standards.
• Supervise issuance and safe handling of engineering tools and ensure tools are returned appropriately.
• Manage and supervise contractors on-site, including conducting safety inductions and maintaining job records.
• Ensure timely and appropriate receipt of deliveries.
• Lead the maintenance team and oversee external contractors engaged for maintenance tasks.
• Keep health and safety documentation current and accurate.
• Serve as a Fire Team member and provide assistance during emergencies.
• Monitor utility consumption to support efficient power management strategies.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and environmental concerns affecting operations.
• Perform additional reasonable duties and remain available as required.
• Ensure team and contractors meet deadlines and maintain quality standards in all tasks.
