Job Overview
We are hiring a dedicated full-time Intake Coordinator RN responsible for conducting initial medical screening assessments and managing patient care coordination within a psychiatric hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess incoming patients promptly to determine medical and psychiatric needs.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals and medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient management.
- Guide patients to appropriate treatment levels according to their assessed needs.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a valid active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
- Minimum of one year clinical experience within mental health or psychiatric care settings.
- Current certification in CPR/AED is mandatory.
- Completion of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training is required.
- Preferred educational qualifications include an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing, or a master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related disciplines.
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime as needed.
