About North Platform
North, Cohere's innovative AI workspace platform, is built to transform enterprise AI usage. It ensures a secure, customizable environment that empowers companies to deploy AI solutions while protecting sensitive information. North seamlessly integrates with existing workflows, connecting AI agents with workplace tools and applications, offering a trusted platform for enterprise AI interaction.
Role Overview
This position provides a unique chance to shape enterprise adoption of AI through impactful real-world applications. Acting as a liaison between the North platform and client engineering teams, you will tackle complex problems integrating AI securely into key industries like finance, healthcare, and telecommunications. The role involves designing, constructing, and deploying agentic workflows powered by Large Language Models (LLMs), transforming prototypes into production-ready AI agents that deliver substantial business benefits.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with enterprise clients to redefine intricate business challenges into well-structured agentic workflows, setting clear success measurements and evaluation processes.
- Lead end-to-end development of LLM-driven agents capable of reasoning, planning, and operating across various tools, APIs, and sensitive data sources, ensuring enterprise-grade dependability and effectiveness.
- Develop and launch features for the North AI workspace platform through all stages of the product lifecycle, from ideation to deployment.
- Own the full scope of use case design, adapting to diverse technical needs including frontend tasks, to implement optimal solutions.
- Contribute towards shared frameworks and standards to promote consistent and high-quality deliverables across teams and customers.
- Facilitate clarity in uncertain scenarios, achieve alignment across stakeholders, and elevate engineering quality throughout the organization.
- Be prepared to travel up to 20-40% to collaborate on-site with customers and partners as necessary.
Candidate Profile
- Proven expertise in building and deploying scalable, clean, testable, and observable production software using Python.
- Experience developing performant retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agentic applications, including multi-step planning and execution agents employing frameworks like ReAct or Plan-and-Execute.
- In-depth knowledge of the LLM ecosystem, encompassing frontier models, vector databases, and orchestration platforms.
- Skilled in creating comprehensive evaluation systems to quantitatively assess agent performance, safety, and latency beyond trial-and-error methods.
- Experience engaging directly with enterprise customers, managing technical discussions and converting ambiguous business challenges into actionable technical solutions.
- Ability to independently manage the complete lifecycle of use cases.
- Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced conditions where priorities may frequently shift.
Additional Advantages
- Experience establishing architectural standards for AI and agentic systems across distributed teams.
- Flexible technical expertise, including the ability to contribute to frontend development when required.
- Exposure to regulated industries such as finance, healthcare, or telecommunications.
- Knowledge of enterprise security, compliance, or audit requirements related to AI systems.
Location and Travel
Position is remote-based with preference for candidates located in the Middle East or those willing to relocate or travel as needed.

- Annual enrichment credits for arts and culture, fitness, quality time, workspace improvements, educational events, conferences, courses, and coaching.
- Generous paid vacation totaling 30 working days (6 weeks).
