Role overview
Cohere is hiring a founding Solutions Architect for Saudi Arabia to help expand the business across KSA and the broader GCC region. In this role, you will work closely with Account Executives, partners, and executive leadership to explain the value of Cohere’s technology to the market and build on the momentum of customers such as STC.
Solutions Architects at Cohere work at the intersection of forward-deployed engineering and AI transformation. They are expected to be technically strong, trusted by customers and internal teams, strong advocates for Cohere’s products, and thought leaders in applied AI.
What you will do
You will gain a detailed understanding of customer pain points, align those needs to Cohere’s solutions, and act as the technical advisor responsible for the customer relationship with key stakeholders. Your work will support product adoption, surface customer feedback, and help shape future product direction.
This is a hands-on role that requires both strategic thinking and execution. You will lead the design and delivery of customer pilots that demonstrate Cohere’s value to enterprise and government clients. You will also translate business goals into technical solutions, own the customer narrative, serve as the customer’s voice internally, and work with the product team to improve the platform. In addition, you will help develop technical champions within customer organizations to improve adoption and gather insights.
A typical day may include leading technical discussions with customers, designing enterprise architectures for North deployments, answering detailed questions about Cohere and its technology, supporting customer evaluations and pilots, creating processes that help the solutions architect function scale, partnering with Product and Engineering to better match customer needs, and collaborating with partners to accelerate their customers’ success.
Requirements
This role is a strong fit for someone with at least 5 years of customer-facing technical pre-sales or post-sales experience in roles such as Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Digital Strategy Consultant. You should have a genuine interest in Generative AI and a solid understanding of the strengths and limitations of generative LLMs and other AI technologies.
You will also need familiarity with foundational machine learning concepts such as training and evaluation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to move comfortably between executive conversations and deep technical discussions. The environment is ambiguous and fast-moving, so success here requires comfort working without much structure and the ability to create effective processes in unstructured settings.
Comfort with Python and assistive coding tools is expected. Preferred experience includes at least 2 years building or deploying NLP, AI, or LLM solutions, experience tailoring models to specific business or organizational goals, and experience deploying in cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI. Native-level Arabic is mandatory.
