Role Overview

The Delivery Director for the APAC region will oversee the complete delivery process of a diverse AI project portfolio, managing around 70 professionals including engineers, data scientists, and analysts. This leadership position demands expertise in handling large, complex, multi-disciplinary teams and combining operational excellence with technical acumen to guide a high-velocity AI organization confidently. Collaboration with senior delivery and engagement leaders will be pivotal to ensure exceptional customer experience and project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the entire delivery lifecycle, from discovery through to scale, ensuring projects meet quality and timeline expectations across various squads.
• Effectively manage project plans, identify risks, track dependencies, and maintain comprehensive portfolio reporting.
• Monitor delivery health regularly and implement mitigation strategies timely to address any issues.
• Boost team productivity by promoting reusable code, leveraging AI tools, and standardizing design processes.
• Establish team accountability using data and operational metrics.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for delivery challenges and work closely with engagement leads to develop delivery strategies.
• Maintain transparent and clear communication with executives and clients, managing and resetting expectations when necessary.
• Encourage a strong culture of accountability, continuous learning, and high performance, mentoring team leads and fostering future leadership.
• Facilitate recruitment, onboarding, and professional development initiatives to build team capabilities.
• Promote trust, inclusivity, psychological safety, and team cohesion within the workforce.
• Plan resource allocation efficiently across squads, anticipate capacity constraints, and resolve conflicts.
• Collaborate with People & Talent teams on recruitment priorities and long-term workforce planning.

Candidate Profile

• Possess between 7 to 12+ years of experience in delivery leadership roles, managing large teams of 50 to over 100 professionals.
• Strong expertise in software, digital transformation, data, AI, or cloud technologies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of delivery management processes and continuous improvement practices.
• Experience serving enterprise clients in industries like finance, government, or insurance is preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills with executive-level stakeholder management capabilities.
• Proficient in risk management, forecasting, and balancing resources effectively.
• Capable of thriving in fast-growing, dynamic organizational settings.
