Cost Controller

About the Role

JDS Energy & Mining is on the lookout for a seasoned Cost Controller to aid in the effective execution of key projects. Integrated within a Project Team, this role involves providing comprehensive cost control, forecasting, reporting, and financial monitoring throughout the span of the project. The professional in this position is critical in ensuring that project spending is meticulously tracked, predicted, and communicated, strengthening decision-making processes.

This role necessitates close collaboration with the Project Controls team, Project Manager, engineering, procurement, construction, and contractors to manage cost data, evaluate project performance, assist in budget forecasts, and ensure expenditures adhere strictly to approved budgets and company objectives. Occasional visits to project locations may be needed to facilitate project progress and stakeholder interaction.

Responsibilities

• Track and monitor project expenditures diligently to ensure accuracy and alignment with budget plans.
• Prepare reliable forecasts and comprehensive financial reports related to project costs and performance.
• Collaborate with various teams including project controls, management, engineering, procurement, construction, and contractors to maintain transparency and control over cost information.
• Support decision-making by providing timely insights into the financial status of projects.
• Travel as necessary to project sites for oversight and engagement with stakeholders.
