About the Role

Morgan McKinley is pleased to collaborate with a leading international insurance company searching for an experienced Compliance Officer. This permanent role is based onsite in Ennis, County Clare and plays a vital part in strengthening the compliance framework in alignment with regulatory bodies such as the Central Bank of Ireland and the Health Insurance Authority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and implement rigorous compliance structures ensuring adherence to Central Bank of Ireland requirements including the Consumer Protection Code (CPC), Minimum Competency Code (MCC), and Fitness & Probity standards.
  • Guarantee that all company policies, claims procedures, and promotional materials comply fully with Health Insurance Authority regulations, IPID guidelines, and locally applicable sales practices.
  • Conduct periodic compliance audits and risk assessments across sales, customer support, and claims units to identify potential non-compliance or operational risks and propose effective mitigation measures.
  • Manage the comprehensive customer complaints process under CPC guidelines, extracting lessons for ongoing enhancements and uphold the branch's operational resilience and business continuity planning.
  • Prepare and deliver precise regulatory reports and gap analyses to senior management and external regulators, while providing reliable compliance advice to internal teams.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in compliance roles within the Irish financial services or health insurance sectors.
  • Thorough practical knowledge of the Central Bank of Ireland’s Individual Accountability Framework (IAF) and Consumer Protection Code, with capability to independently meet stringent regulatory timelines.
  • Possession of relevant professional credentials such as ICA Certificate/Advanced Certificate in Compliance or a certification pertinent to healthcare compliance like CHC is highly preferred.
