Role Overview
The Brand Manager position at Urban Farmer - CAULIPOWER involves leading strategic initiatives to drive brand growth, product innovation, and portfolio management. This full-time hybrid role, based in Manteno, Illinois, offers the chance to shape the CAULIPOWER brand's future by linking consumer insights, market trends, and operational actions. The role demands strategic thinking, project management, and entrepreneurial drive to execute innovation strategies, manage product development pipelines, and lead go-to-market efforts collaboratively with departments including Sales, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Marketing.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Urban Farmer's innovation roadmap for CAULIPOWER brand, uncovering new growth avenues and product ideas.
- Maintain a strong innovation pipeline aligned with both immediate targets and long-term strategic plans.
- Identify emerging consumer preferences, category potentials, retailer needs, ingredient advancements, and competitive landscape to find growth opportunities.
- Analyze consumer behavior, market data, industry trends, and syndicated information to guide innovation and strategic decisions.
- Convert insights into actionable product concepts and innovation platforms with strategic recommendations.
- Communicate innovation strategies and growth initiatives effectively to leadership and teams.
- Support existing products by assessing performance, profitability, and market presence, and suggest improvements or new initiatives.
- Develop convincing consumer value propositions, product positioning, and messaging frameworks.
- Collaborate with Finance and Sales for accurate forecasting, planning, and business reviews.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and brand standards for product claims, packaging, and communications.
- Work closely with Marketing and Creative teams for successful product launches and go-to-market execution.
- Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration to promote project success and a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Monitor competitors' pricing, promotional activities, and launches to ensure competitive positioning.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Consumer Packaged Goods, or related discipline.
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in innovation, commercialization, product development, category or brand management within CPG or food sectors.
- Successful track record in managing cross-functional projects from conception through launch.
- Strong project management capabilities with multitasking proficiency.
- Advanced analytical skills with expertise in consumer insights, syndicated data such as IRI, Nielsen, SPINS, Circana, and business performance metrics.
- Familiarity with Stage-Gate product development methodologies.
- Experience creating business cases, financial analysis, pricing strategies, and commercialization planning.
- Exceptional communication, presentation abilities, and stakeholder management skills.
- Capability to influence cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.
