BIM Engineer

About the Role

The position involves overseeing and managing Building Information Modeling (BIM) models throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. The engineer will ensure accurate creation, coordination, and compliance of 3D models for architectural, structural, and MEP systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, manage, and coordinate BIM models for various building construction projects.
• Develop, inspect, and update 3D models, produce shop drawings, and prepare construction documents.
• Integrate architectural, structural, and MEP models, and perform clash detection to identify and resolve conflicts using BIM software.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to resolve detected clashes and coordinate project efforts.
• Ensure all BIM models meet project specifications, adhere to standards, and follow BIM execution plans.
• Assist project teams with quantity take-offs, updating models, and construction coordination activities.
• Engage with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel to facilitate smooth communication and coordination.
• Maintain comprehensive BIM documentation and implement strict version control for all models and drawings.

Candidate Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil, Architectural, MEP Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Between 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience as a BIM Engineer or Coordinator within building construction environments.
• Proficient with key BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD, along with other relevant tools.
• Demonstrated ability in multidisciplinary BIM coordination and expertise in clash detection methodologies.
• Familiarity with BIM standards, workflow processes, and construction drawing interpretation.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective coordination and communication across teams.
