Overview
We are seeking an experienced Territory Sales Manager to spearhead business expansion within logistics and e-commerce sectors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth by acquiring new clientele and managing existing accounts predominantly in the e-commerce, retail, FMCG, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, automotive, and corporate verticals.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve defined sales and revenue objectives in the assigned geographic area.
- Identify and onboard new customers across diverse sectors including e-commerce, retail, FMCG, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and corporate markets.
- Market end-to-end logistics services such as express courier, surface and air transportation, warehousing, fulfillment, last-mile delivery, reverse logistics, and international shipping.
- Lead and nurture a sales team comprising Sales Executives and Business Development Executives to enhance territory results.
- Conduct regular performance assessments of the sales team, managing pipelines and conversion metrics effectively.
- Coordinate with operations, customer service, finance, and warehouse departments to ensure smooth and satisfactory client service.
- Analyze market dynamics, competitive landscape, customer demands, and pricing tactics to discover prospective business avenues.
- Grow the client base through establishing channel partnerships, corporate contracts, SME engagement, and collaborations with e-commerce sellers.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budget plans, and ensure achievement of periodic business targets.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date CRM data, including sales funnels, customer engagement records, and forecasts.
- Address and resolve customer escalations promptly to boost client retention rates.
- Identify and capitalize on cross-selling and upselling potential within logistics offerings.
- Develop and present regular territory performance reports, management information systems (MIS), and business reviews to senior management.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in B.B.A., B.M.S. specializing in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or Marketing.
- Proven expertise in territory sales management with strong capability in B2B sales and business development.
- Deep understanding of logistics, supply chain operations, and e-commerce logistics domains.
- Experience with express courier, cargo services, last-mile delivery, warehousing, and fulfillment operations.
- Strong client acquisition and account management skills, along with team leadership and coaching abilities.
- Skilled in sales planning, forecasting, revenue growth strategies, and CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Zoho, or HubSpot.
- Ability to perform market intelligence, competitive analysis, and strategic business planning.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with a results-oriented mindset.
- Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
