Job Summary
This permanent full-time position is based on-site in Scarborough, ON M1R 2T5. The role operates in a warehouse setting with a focus on supervising shipping and receiving activities. The position requires a hands-on approach with responsibilities related to organizing tasks, overseeing operational logistics, coordinating interdepartmental activities, and managing inventory and work schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize tasks effectively to achieve operational goals
- Supervise and coordinate logistics and activities across various departments
- Prepare, compile, and submit operational reports on performance and progress
- Identify and resolve workplace issues, including providing technical guidance and recommending improvements for productivity and quality
- Train staff on job responsibilities and organizational policies
- Assign, coordinate, and review work within the team
- Manage requisitions and orders for materials, equipment, and supplies
- Maintain and organize inventory records and storage
- Develop work schedules and operational procedures
Candidate Requirements
- 1 to less than 2 years of relevant experience
- College or equivalent diploma (1 to 2 years duration)
- Proficient in computer and technology use, including purchasing software, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and Windows environments
- Knowledge of the metal industry is beneficial
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Capable of handling physical tasks, including lifting weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Possession of own tools and equipment is expected

Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage of $36.00 for a 40-hour work week
