Store Cleaner

Role overview

We are looking for a Store Cleaner to help maintain a tidy, safe and customer-friendly shop environment in Mullingar, County Westmeath. This role supports the store’s day-to-day presentation by handling routine cleaning tasks, keeping customer areas orderly and helping ensure the store meets high standards at all times.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver courteous and professional service to customers while working on the shop floor.
• Keep walkways and aisles free from clutter so shoppers can move around safely.
• Carry out general cleaning duties that support the store’s cleanliness, safety and overall appearance.
• Remove litter around the store premises.
• Clean windows to maintain a neat and presentable store front.
• Ensure trolleys are organised, tidy and ready for customer use.
• Work with the team to uphold Aldi’s high standards every day.

Skills and experience

• A positive attitude is important; prior cleaning experience is helpful but not essential.
• You should be dependable and comfortable working as part of a team.
• A friendly, approachable manner is needed when interacting with customers.
• You must be able to work effectively in a busy, fast-moving environment.
• Strong organisation is required to follow a detailed cleaning routine.
