Senior Wet Utilities Engineer

Overview

The Senior Wet Utilities Engineer is responsible for overseeing the installation and testing of potable water, wastewater, and drainage networks to guarantee alignment with design plans and relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the construction supervision of potable water and wastewater networks, including an 800mm National Water Company (NWC) potable water pipeline.
• Examine and approve contractor shop drawings and material submissions to confirm compliance with utility designs.
• Conduct field inspections to verify correct pipeline installation, jointing, pressure testing, and chlorination or commissioning activities.
• Coordinate activities between wet utilities and other related works such as civil, structural, and road constructions to ensure smooth project progression.
• Provide regular progress reports and raise any technical concerns to the Resident Engineer or Construction Manager.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Utilities Engineering.
• At least 12 years of overall relevant experience, including a minimum of 2 years in similar senior roles on comparable projects.
• Minimum of 5 years experience working in the Middle East region.
• Familiarity and direct experience with large diameter potable water transmission pipelines (600mm and above).
• Knowledge of and experience working with NWC specifications and approval procedures in Saudi Arabia.
• Fluent spoken, written, and reading ability in English.

Additional Job Details

This role requires on-site presence at a project located in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, providing construction supervision services. The engineer will ensure technical oversight for multiple water and wastewater network packages within large-scale developments and ensure that all wet utilities works are compliant, well coordinated, and aligned with project requirements.
