Overview
The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for applying and overseeing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures directly on site. This role involves reviewing Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), witnessing critical inspections, and managing non-conformance reports (NCRs) for targeted infrastructure packages related to roads, utilities (wet or dry/HV).
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute and supervise the site's QA/QC protocols ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Evaluate ITPs thoroughly, witness significant inspections, and confirm that materials meet compliance requirements.
- Handle NCRs diligently by monitoring them and ensuring timely resolution of corrective actions.
- Assist the Quality Manager with auditing processes, quality reporting, and promoting continual enhancements in quality management.
- Collaborate effectively with construction supervision and design teams regarding all quality-related issues.
- Provide quality assurance oversight across various infrastructure and utility package types within major development projects, maintaining consistency in QA/QC practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 15 years of comprehensive relevant experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a similar Senior Quality Engineer position within comparable projects.
- A minimum of 5 years professional experience in the Middle East region is required.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.
