Role overview

Vistas Global is seeking a Senior Loan Consultant with hands-on experience in Finastra Fusion Loan IQ. The role focuses on implementing Loan IQ solutions, developing interfaces, supporting business and technical analysis, and handling testing, documentation, and operational support across banking systems.

Key responsibilities

  • Work on Loan IQ application implementations and related interface development.
  • Build and maintain SDK components such as inquiry scripts, event handling, scripted APIs, and scripted batch processes.
  • Use the Loan IQ data dictionary and framework effectively while supporting platform functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve interface and functional issues within Loan IQ.
  • Support RFR functionality, Loan IQ data models, and scripting for batches, events, controller events, and inquiry APIs.
  • Handle nightly batch processing, loan processing, accounting, pricing, accruals, and related operational activities.
  • Work with Loan IQ MX payments and generate GL entries through batch accounting and online accounting processes.
  • Support functional configuration and end-to-end processing for syndicated and bilateral deals.
  • Manage core Loan IQ modules including customer setup, deal creation, facility creation, outstanding creation, portfolio management, secondary sales, payments, fee types, circles, trade tickets, swaps, collaterals, adhoc queries, ticklers, and repayment schedules.
  • Develop and support solutions using core Java/J2EE, XML, REST APIs, Oracle packages, and stored procedures.
  • Review business requirements, prepare specifications, write test cases, and participate in SIT/UAT and regression testing.
  • Track defects, manage the defect lifecycle, and report execution progress.
  • Coordinate with analysts, programmers, users, and vendors to design, document, and improve business systems and procedures.
  • Prepare user documentation, instructions, procedures, training material, and system business cycle specifications.
  • Support data protection, confidentiality, and compliance with bank ethics and code of conduct.
  • Participate in performance review meetings and assist internal and external users with application-related queries.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in Loan IQ application implementation and interface development.
  • Strong knowledge of SDK development, including inquiry scripts, event management, scripted APIs, and scripted batch processing.
  • Good understanding of the Loan IQ framework, data dictionary, functional modules, and end-to-end processing.
  • Experience with RFR functionality, nightly batches, loan administration, accounting, pricing, and accruals.
  • Practical knowledge of Loan IQ MX payments and GL entry generation using batch and online accounting.
  • Experience with syndicated and bilateral deal processes and related functional configurations.
  • Working knowledge of core Java/J2EE, XML, REST APIs, Oracle, packages, and stored procedures.
  • At least 4 years of experience in banking system support and implementation, with 3 years in IT.
  • Experience in reviewing BRS documents, preparing functional specifications, and creating test cases.
  • Exposure to test scope analysis, regression testing, defect management, and SIT/UAT testing in core banking or loan administration systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong communication, time management, business process analysis, planning, teamwork, and customer-service skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools such as Word and Excel.
  • English communication is required; Arabic is preferred.
