The Scheduling Clerk functions as the subject matter expert responsible for managing staff schedules, coordinating relief and on-call shifts, and maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain daily staff schedules and relief shifts.
  • Manage on-call shift assignments and perform relevant data entry and record keeping.
  • Work with leadership to ensure scheduling complies with collective agreements.
  • Develop cost-effective workforce schedules.
  • Exercise independent judgment in setting work priorities and dealing with unusual issues.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum one year experience using electronic employee scheduling systems.
  • At least three years of experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Completion of grade twelve education or equivalent; preference for candidates trained on ESP scheduling software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Additional Information

The position is temporary, full-time (1.0 FTE) based at the Altona Community Memorial Health Centre with anticipated mutually agreed start date. The annual base hours are 2015.
