Job description
Role Overview
The Sanitation Technician plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness across the manufacturing plant and office spaces. This position ensures that all products comply with local and federal safety standards and meet the FSSC 22000 certification requirements.
Primary Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of the factory premises, including exterior areas, restrooms, washrooms, and office locations.
- Carry out detailed structural cleaning tasks within the facility.
- Complete all necessary documentation in SAP and ISO systems, alongside safety training to uphold current and new regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout departmental areas following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety guidelines.
- Engage in Bloodborne Pathogens handling and glass cleanup initiatives.
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and manufacturing practices.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Have at least one year of experience working in manufacturing environments, with preference for food production settings.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration skills with a genuine spirit to cooperate with team members.
- Show adaptability and proactively take initiative to handle various workplace situations and teams.
- Be prepared for working conditions involving loud noise, temperature extremes, and dusty environments.
- Be physically mobile within the facility and capable of lifting or carrying weights up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Accept exposure to mild chemicals as part of the job function.
