Residential Cleaner

Overview

Our client is seeking a dependable and meticulous Residential Cleaner to service rental properties. Responsibilities include move-in and move-out cleaning, rental turnover cleaning, and preparing properties to be listing-ready. The company specializes in comprehensive leasing services powered by proprietary technology designed to help landlords lease their units quickly, minimize vacancy time, and screen candidates effectively. The role involves independently performing cleaning tasks in the field while adhering to detailed checklists and documenting completed work thoroughly.

Key Responsibilities

• Attend scheduled cleaning appointments at residential rental properties.
• Perform general cleaning duties such as kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, appliances, floors, surfaces, cabinets, and fixtures according to company standards.
• Remove dirt, dust, debris, garbage, and any remaining items as needed.
• Wipe down and sanitize surfaces including counters, sinks, mirrors, doors, baseboards, and other high-touch zones.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and thoroughly clean all flooring types.
• Clean appliance interiors such as refrigerators, stoves, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers when required.
• Identify issues requiring extra cleaning, repairs, junk removal, or maintenance follow-up.
• Capture clear before-and-after photos and videos of properties and cleaned areas.
• Provide detailed updates, notes, images, and videos after each visit.
• Maintain professional communication with landlords, applicants, tenants where applicable, and internal teams.
• Adhere strictly to company-provided instructions, checklists, access protocols, and appointment details.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience working as a cleaner, housekeeper, or residential cleaning contractor with strong knowledge of residential cleaning standards.
• Access to reliable transportation and own cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Comfortable working independently at rental properties.
• Possession of a smartphone comparable to iPhone 13 with a high-quality camera for documenting work.
• Capable of taking clear photos and videos and submitting well-written reports after cleaning assignments.
• Ability to follow detailed checklists and instructions, and professional communication skills when interacting with landlords, tenants, applicants, and internal teams.
• Dependable, punctual, detail-focused, and professional demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience specifically in move-in, move-out, or rental turnover cleaning.
• Familiarity with preparing residential rentals before photoshoots, inspections, or tenant move-ins.
• Ability to recognize property damages, maintenance issues, junk removal needs, pest problems, and access or safety concerns and promptly report them.
• Previous work experience independently servicing residential rental properties for property management, leasing, cleaning, or home services organizations.
