Position Summary
This role generally involves minimal supervision for routine tasks, with guidance given for new assignments. The Quantity Surveyor conducts surveys using advanced electronic and traditional equipment to assess natural and artificial features on land, underwater, and underground. You will manage land information systems to store and analyze data, produce maps and reports, and review survey measurements like distances, angles, and elevations.
Key responsibilities include researching legal documents to determine boundary lines, verifying survey accuracy, and preparing related plots and documentation. This role requires a seasoned professional capable of handling diverse and complex challenges within the infrastructure sector.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- At least 7 years of experience in quantity surveying, specifically for infrastructure projects.
- Proven background in road and infrastructure works.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
- High proficiency in English literacy; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
- Strong understanding of industry best practices in quantity surveying.
- Experience leading commercial teams on major infrastructure projects.
- Expertise in cost and contract management, budget oversight, and change control procedures.
- Confident presentation skills and ability to maintain confidentiality of project information.
- Computer proficiency, including use of cost management software.
