Quality Engineer II

Job Overview

This role represents the quality function in technical support, working alongside various internal groups to resolve manufacturing-related issues.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and keep updated quality assurance plans and process routings that accurately reflect actual and intended workflows.
• Support quoting activities through involvement in process design, development, and implementation stages.
• Assess and assist with inspection processes by creating inspection aids and instructional guidelines.
• Design and carry out specialized training programs tailored for applicable departments.
• Regularly review and maintain documentation, establishing efficient systems for storage and retrieval.
• Analyze supplier and customer discrepancies, coordinating and monitoring corrective and preventive actions.
• Perform trend analysis on defects from customers, suppliers, and internal sources.
• Take part in vendor survey activities where relevant.
• Promote collaborative engagements with suppliers to enhance their processes when possible.
• Collaborate across departments to enforce policies and procedures, focusing on ISO, EN4600, and GMP documentation compliance.
• Oversee departmental efforts by offering technical and logistical support to the quality engineering team as needed.
• Provide technical quality issue support to customers when required.
• Lead corrective action initiatives using SPC data and tracking tools, and facilitate meetings or team-building exercises to support these efforts.
• Act as the key liaison between the company and suppliers or customers regarding quality matters.
• Enhance the quality organization's technical support capabilities.
• Observe all safety and health regulations related to this position and follow supervisor directives.
• Adhere rigidly to company security procedures and policies.

Qualifications and Additional Information

A bachelor's degree is necessary along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and work history.
