Overview
Join a prominent pharmaceutical company where your expertise in process engineering will play a crucial role in promoting innovation, quality assurance, and operational efficiency at a large scale. This position is offered by R&D Partners, a respected life sciences recruitment firm, to support manufacturing and development functions within the pharmaceutical sector. Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Waterford, Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance to operations teams to ensure adherence to quality benchmarks and achieve performance objectives.
- Devise and implement improvement strategies within manufacturing and development activities.
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to advance operational processes.
- Identify and apply opportunities to enhance manufacturing and development workflows.
- Serve as the process lead for inspection developments and address technical issues effectively.
- Establish and track performance indicators to promote operational excellence.
- Lead initiatives aimed at reducing cycle times and integrating industry best practices.
- Design and conduct experimental programs including plant trials and scaling projects.
- Support introduction of new products, clinical supply logistics, and technology transfer projects.
- Maintain compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards and oversee quality documentation management.
- Manage complaint investigations, handle deviations, and ensure timely closure of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) through thorough root cause analysis.
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational credentials including a degree in Chemical, Industrial, or an equivalent Engineering discipline; an advanced degree in Pharmaceutics, Pharmacy, or a related scientific field is beneficial.
- Technical proficiency preferred in aseptic manufacturing processes, notably lyophilization.
- Knowledge and application of Design of Experiment (DOE) methodologies and statistical analysis.
- Comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical product development lifecycles.
- Strong reporting capabilities paired with excellent verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in laboratory and pilot plant environments.
- Demonstrated creativity, research acumen, and innovation capacity.
- Competence in project management and structured problem-solving techniques.
