Role Overview
This full-time, permanent position based in the inner eastern suburbs of Melbourne offers a salary range of approximately $80,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation, with the added flexibility of working three days from home. The role is within a high-performing payroll systems team in a large, complex organisation, reporting to the Payroll Systems Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, configure, and optimise payroll and workforce rostering systems to support operations.
- Manage system functionalities, including troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with Australian Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and other payroll regulations.
- Support payroll operations through accurate system configuration and effective data management.
- Collaborate with Payroll, HR, and Workforce Systems teams to enhance processes and system performance.
- Assist with system upgrades, testing, and transformation projects to improve payroll systems.
- Investigate and address complex payroll system queries and escalations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to payroll systems and processes.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience supporting payroll systems within medium to large organisations.
- Hands-on expertise in configuring and managing time and attendance systems.
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and industrial instruments.
- Experience with system upgrades, implementations, or transformation projects is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on system functionality.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and prioritising multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders across various levels.
