This newly created role at FLOWERBX New York studio is dedicated to managing daily operational activities. The Operations Manager will collaborate with the global operations team to source flowers and materials, oversee on-site logistics, ensure timely deliveries, and maintain B2B project inventory. Reporting directly to the Head of North America, the role involves close coordination with the B2B Events team, Procurement Lead, and both in-house and outsourced drivers. This is a hands-on, on-site position based in Manhattan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and monitor dispatch activities for activations, installations, and event logistics.
  • Anticipate and resolve delivery challenges proactively to prevent client issues.
  • Manage daily orders of flowers and materials for B2B projects, following supplier terms and timelines defined by Procurement Lead.
  • Ensure order accuracy, timely fulfillment, and active communication with suppliers for ongoing projects.
  • Physically oversee reusable B2B project inventory such as flower carts, vases, and other event materials.
  • Receive, inspect condition, and allocate stock across multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Maintain transparent inventory records to keep the Events team informed of available resources.
  • Compile weekly gross margin reports to contribute to global B2B operational metrics.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • A minimum of 3 years experience in retail operations or warehouse management.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment with rapidly shifting priorities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to tracking inventory inflows, outflows, and discrepancies without prompting.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving, acting before issues escalate.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with drivers, Events team, and Procurement Lead efficiently.
  • Competent in basic data analysis and streamlining operational reporting processes.
  • Commitment to full-time, on-site work at the Manhattan studio.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in time-sensitive sectors such as luxury retail or events; experience with event florals is advantageous.
  • Keen interest in leveraging technology, artificial intelligence, and automation to enhance operations.
  • Familiarity with managing drivers or coordinating last-mile logistics.

Work Location & Schedule

This is a full-time role requiring presence at the New York studio. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available.
