Network Engineer

Overview

This position involves overseeing and enhancing the company's network infrastructure to ensure dependable performance and security, which supports ongoing IT initiatives and operational stability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and sustain network infrastructure with a focus on peak efficiency and security standards.
• Regularly monitor and diagnose network components such as LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN setups.
• Conduct network configurations and upgrades adhering to internal policies and industry standards.
• Quickly address and resolve network disruptions or malfunctions.
• Work alongside IT departments to implement network solutions for various technical projects.
• Assist in planning network scalability and ensure redundancy to accommodate future organizational growth.
• Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including topologies, IP schemas, and configuration details.
• Optimize current network systems by recommending and applying necessary enhancements.
• Perform routine system audits and evaluate network performance regularly.
• Keep abreast of new networking technologies and trends to suggest advancements.
• Travel within UAE to client locations for network deployment, troubleshooting, and support; personal vehicle and valid driving license required.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2 to 3 years practical experience in a Network Engineer role or similar capacity.
• Proficient understanding of networking protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and hands-on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Knowledge of network monitoring methodologies and tools.
• Skilled in network setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Good grasp of network security concepts and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+ are advantageous.
• Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving expertise.
• Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively in dynamic environments.
• Effective communication skills suitable for cross-team interactions.

Additional Information

• Job location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
• Frequent travel within UAE for client site visits is essential.
• Must possess a personal vehicle and a valid UAE driving license.
