Role overview

This is an opportunity to join the Job Coach team in Dapto and the surrounding suburbs. The role is focused on helping clients prepare for work and supporting them into employment when they are ready. The position offers strong scope for career growth within the team.

What you will do

As a Job Coach, you will work closely with clients one-on-one to support them in building a sustainable career and improving their chances of long-term employment. Your day-to-day work will include motivating participants, developing employer relationships, and helping place clients into suitable jobs.

• Support and encourage participants through suitable activities that help them move toward employment.
• Build connections with local employers to identify job openings for clients.
• Promote suitable candidates directly to employers through reverse marketing.
• Help place participants into stable jobs that lead to lasting outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation while following compliance and contract requirements.
• Deliver a consistently high standard of service to clients, employers, and other stakeholders.

Team environment

You will be part of a positive, collaborative, and target-driven team of employment services professionals from a range of backgrounds, all working toward greater diversity and inclusion.

Experience and attributes

The ideal candidate will bring at least one year of experience in customer service or a client-facing role. Experience supporting people who are facing challenges is preferred. You should be confident dealing with internal and external stakeholders, working to KPIs, and securing outcomes that lead to long-term employment. A genuine commitment to atWork Australia's purpose and a current driver's licence are also required.
