About the Role
This position is for a janitorial maintenance team member at a travel center in McCalla, Alabama. The role sits in a fast-paced guest service environment where every day can look different. You’ll help keep the location clean, functional, and welcoming for travelers, drivers, commuters, and other guests while contributing to a positive team atmosphere.
Starting pay ranges from $11.85 to $17.25 per hour.
The company also notes that there are often opportunities to learn and move into other roles across its travel centers and restaurant operations, with training available for additional responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Keep the store and surrounding areas clean and presentable at all times.
- Clean showers and restroom areas.
- Wash, load, and unload towels used for showers.
- Handle basic repairs and general upkeep of the store.
- Collect trash from around the travel center and dispose of it properly.
- Deliver strong guest service by maintaining facilities that are clean and well cared for.
Requirements
- Self-driven and motivated to take initiative.
- Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and spend much of the day standing or walking.
- Available for a schedule that may include nights, days, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in a similar job is preferred.
- Helpful if you understand industrial equipment and can solve minor issues.
