Role Overview
This position focuses on maintaining tight control over inventory across raw materials, consumables, chemicals, and powders. The role is based in the United Arab Emirates and is a full-time, on-site opportunity with Vertiv.
What You Will Do
- Keep inventory logs accurate for raw materials, consumables, chemicals, and powders.
- Track stock movement and flag shortages, excess quantities, slow-moving stock, and obsolete items in a timely way.
- Maintain safety stock for fast-moving items and review these levels every day.
- Carry out monthly and periodic physical stock counts, cycle counts, and variance reconciliation.
- Apply FIFO/FEFO rules correctly and maintain proper bin-location discipline.
- Check and control all material movements, including receipt, issue, transfer, and dispatch.
- Make sure every inventory transaction is recorded correctly in the ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Look into inventory mismatches and assist with root-cause analysis and corrective action follow-up.
- Work closely with Stores, Production, Planning, Purchase, and Quality functions.
- Support both internal and external inventory audits.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts that raise inventory accuracy and improve space usage.
- Follow safety requirements, 5S practices, and internal company procedures.
Skills and Knowledge
- Good understanding of inventory control and ISO documentation methods.
- Hands-on familiarity with ERP systems, especially SAP.
- Strong analytical ability and reconciliation skills.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing store operations.
